Friday Night Lights, the fly away edition...

You know when your date night starts out like this, it's going to be pretty magical...

We were able to borrow our friend's plane.  It's small.  Two person, tandem....  just a little excitement to spice up the evening ❈

We headed due North to one of our favorite places on earth, Roche Harbor in the San Juan Islands...  Once you see the islands from the air, you'll need to see it again and again, like you need to breath air...

We landed here...

Walked down past the old hotel and English gardens, past the market...

And had dinner here, on the deck looking out at the marina full of boats...

We didn't have a lot of time, but after dinner we took a walk on the docks.  We wanted to see who had their boat in "our" slip....  there is a great view of the church from the docks...

Where should we go next?

To the church.  Always make an offering and say a little prayer for safe travels whenever we are here...

Walking back to the air strip... 

Goodbye... maybe we should rent a cottage in the fall....

This remains my favorite date of all time.  We try to do it at least once a year....  Love (happy sighs).
