Kalaloch (By the sea...)

My parents are currently volunteering as Camp Hosts at the Kalaloch campground in the Olympic National Park.  This past week we took a trip over for a visit.  To say that it was stunning is a complete understatement, photos hardly do it justice. Here are a few highlights...

Heading across the bridge to the beach...

Mind boggling rock formations...

Lessons from the family biologist, aka Grandma...

Water bugs, always fascinating...

More beautiful erosion...

Tide pools...

Never  underestimate the draw of a higher peak...

Eventually the water draws them in...

Where there are building materials, there will be forts...

(Sigh)....So serene...

  2. I never knew this place existed, thank you so much for sharing that with me. It is now on our list of "to do's" and I can hardly wait. Those tide pools look like a lot of fun for exploring and the scenery, well -- breathtaking!!
